Ayman El Baitam

About me

I am Palestinian and come from a professional background in two different industries: auditing and real esate development. I’ve always wanted to earn a master’s degree, and the Global Master in Real Estate Development at IE School of Architecture and Design was the perfect program for me, especially due to its focus on sustainability. As an avid Real Madrid Club de Fútbol supporter, the opportunity to live and study in Madrid—which also happens to be my favorite European city—further solidified my choice in master’s programs.

"The Global Master in Real Estate Development is different from other programs. Its emphasis on sustainability gives it an advantage over the other programs and was my main drive for selecting it."

Finding comfort in his surroundings

Ayman has always wanted to study a master’s degree, but finding a program specialized in the ever-changing industry of real estate was proving to be difficult. After researching various programs, he discovered IE School of Architecture and Design’s Global Master in Real Estate Development—the perfect program for his professional goals.

For Ayman, the program’s emphasis on sustainability, combined with its location, diversity and talented faculty, continue to prove that he made the right choice in degree programs. As it’s his favorite city in Europe, Ayman loves spending time in Madrid. Aside from watching his beloved football team, Real Madrid, he loves walking down the streets and stopping to take in the amazing monuments, historical places, food and people surrounding him.

“The diversity in the program allows people to bring in their experiences from different parts of the world.”

Ayman finds the diversity in the classroom to be unique, as he gains new perspectives from colleagues with different experiences from all over the world. He also notes that his professors are helpful and prove to be experts in their fields in each session he attends. Their professional experience in companies like CBRE have given him the opportunity to get a firsthand look at projects they’re currently working on. The geographical, educational and professional experiences of both his colleagues and his professors stand out to Ayman as part of what makes the program exceptional.

Outside of the classroom itself, Ayman enjoys walking around the campus and watching different generations interact. He feels that these interactions give him the energy to continue to pursue education in general. He’s also had the chance to visit the new IE Tower and marvels at the architecture and technology, explaining that walking around and being in the facility gives a feeling of peace and comfort.

Driven to learn as much as possible in the Global Master in Real Estate Development, Ayman would like to bring his newly acquired knowledge to real-world scenarios, whether it be where he works or within his community. We wish Ayman the best of luck in all his future endeavors.
