Samah Saleh
I’m a senior construction project manager with over two decades of experience. My qualifications include an architectural engineering degree, membership in the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors, a project management professional certificate and a professional quantity surveyor certificate. I’m currently serving as Senior Development Manager at Trojena, the mountain destination that’s part of the prestigious NEOM development in Saudi Arabia.

Building a framework to achieve lofty ambitions
Samah Saleh has already gathered an impressive wealth of experience, with over twenty years of experience and a number of diverse and successful projects behind him. Now he is working on Saudi Arabia’s ambitious NEOM project. At the same time, he is also undertaking something he says he has aspired to for years: studying a master’s degree at IE University.
Samah chose to pursue the Global Master in Real Estate Development because of its emphasis on urban revolution, responsible real estate development and technology. The focus on these particular aspects of the industry aligns exactly with his own career goals. In particular, Samah says the program provides a robust framework for achieving his aspirations within the real estate industry, with its multidisciplinary and creative approach to solving the evolving problems in this most dynamic of industries.
Another reason behind his choice of IE University is the ideal environment for success offered at the institution. Samah points to the enhancement he’ll gain in his international knowledge and skills, a benefit he says will give him the flexibility either to continue his career in the Gulf Cooperation Council states where he’s currently employed or to return to Canada. In the short term, his aim is to continue to excel in evaluating capital and real estate markets, finance strategies and investment decisions, placemaking and urban planning.

Certainly what he’s learning should prove immediately applicable for Samah in his current role. His work at NEOM sees him reporting to the Head of Development, focusing on development controls at Trojena—likely to become one of the world’s most prestigious mountain destinations for living, working and tourism. Its focus on sustainable development and connecting visitors directly with nature has made it into one of the most high-profile developments anywhere on the planet right now.
Specifically, Samah has found the knowledge he has gained about leadership in business particularly useful for his work. He expects to leverage his knowledge to make sound business decisions, but, most importantly, to understand leadership from a business perspective. With the experience and education he’s gaining, we have no doubt that Samah will make a positive impact, both now and wherever his career path takes him in the future.
