Vato Peradze

About me

Hailing from Georgia, nestled in the Caucasus Mountains, I cherish the distinct traditions, culture and history of my homeland. Tbilisi, the capital, is where my journey began. Being Georgian fundamentally shapes who I am: responsible, enthusiastic and resolute, traits nurtured by my community’s rich environment.

Confronted with geopolitical challenges, I realized after high school the crucial role diplomacy plays in securing our nation’s peace and future. Georgia’s stride towards EU integration, culminating in candidacy status, cemented my belief in our nation’s path. This spurred my passion for public affairs and international relations.

Contributing to Georgia’s future on the world stage

Vato Peradze has big ambitions. Describing himself as a “dedicated individual,” his goal is to shape the future of his home country, Georgia, on the world stage. As Georgia’s Youth Ambassador for Spain, he’s already taking steps toward this by promoting his country’s rich heritage and furthering his commitment to diplomacy and conflict resolution.

Before embarking on the Master In International Relations, Vato had already been accepted for an international affairs program at a US university, but opted to defer this in favor of IE University. He explains that he particularly valued IE University’s “unparalleled global exposure” and was impressed by its international and diverse academic community.

Vato describes his experience in the program as “transformative.” The unique diversity of IE University provided him with an invaluable learning experience from a global perspective. He credits the opportunity to work with organizations such as the United Nations Systems Staff College (UNSSC), UN-Habitat, the Georgian Foreign Ministry and the Georgian Embassy in Spain, for deepening his understanding of international dynamics.
