“Success becomes truly enriching when it extends personal triumphs, honouring those who contribute and supported us on our journey”.

VP Talent Transformation and Technology of Alpina. EDTX 2021.

I'm from Colombia, I studied Industrial Engineering and pursued a Master's in Digital Transformation and Innovation Leadership (EDTX 2021) at IE Business School, in addition to several executive programs. I've had the opportunity to hold executive roles across various sectors within large corporations, fostering a holistic business perspective. Stepping outside of my comfort zone is my passion, which is why I believe that my current role at Alpina Productos Alimenticios, spearheading the company's transformation as Vice President of Transformation, Talent, and Technology, driving growth and competitiveness, while also overseeing cultural and capacity development, fulfills me completely.

How did IE help you get to where you are today?

My experience in the master's program has allowed me to significantly broaden my perspective on current reality. I have learned that technology alone does not constitute transformation. True transformation lies in achieving a shift in mindset among individuals. Understanding this premise has been pivotal in my professional development, as it has equipped me to address contemporary challenges from a more holistic and effective perspective. Through the master's program, I have gained the necessary tools to lead meaningful changes that are not only based on the implementation of innovative technologies but also on fostering an organizational culture that promotes the adoption of new approaches and attitudes toward change.

What are three achievements you are most proud of?

• Having managed to lead an operations area of over 3000 employees through people management rather than knowledge.

• Having dared to pursue a master's degree in digital transformation at the age of 50 and now being a reference.

• Being able to demonstrate to women in my country that they can be mother, wives and successful professionals fills me with pride. Braking those glass ceiling is a cause I’m passionate about.

What does success look like for you?

For me success looks like the complete fulfilment and feeling of happiness and satisfaction both personal and professional realms.
