Francisco Navarro Castillo

With more than thirty years of experience, Professor Navarro argues that costs should be linked to productivity, competitiveness, strategy, and the macroeconomic environment in which each company is operating. Author of numerous technical notes and research papers, he has developed cost systems for several companies.

He holds a degree in Chemistry from the Complutense University of Madrid and was an Engineer in the Spanish Navy for twelve years, where he worked on pioneering projects of quality and sophisticated engineering. At IE Business School, he has held numerous executive positions and, in 1999, he was part of the team in charge of implementing all the school's technology. “As a manager, I have focused on designing very competitive programs,” says Professor Navarro, who is currently an Associate Professor of the Faculty of the IE Business School.
