About me

Sailing has always been a part of my life. I have been spending time out on the ocean since I was born and sailing for as long as I can remember. I have become a master of the wind and the waves.

"Sailing is not only the art of knowing how to adapt to the forces of nature, but also of knowing how to use them to your advantage. Learning to understand them is vital to keep moving. Learning to embrace them pushes you to the top."

Olimpia López

Olimpia is currently in her 4th year of the Bachelor in Business Administration at IE University. She was born in Barcelona, but spent the first four years of her life living on a boat. She then moved to Madrid, and spent all of her summers, until she was 14 years old, sailing around the Mediterranean and competing in numerous sailing championships. Since she began studying at IE University, Olimpia has discovered many other passions such as online gaming (e-sports)—a field in which she will start an internship with a club in January—, playing rugby at the Olímpico de Pozuelo Club, and surfing, which has led her to create IE’s very own Surf Club.
