About me

I had 5 years of marketing experience prior to joining the program. I enjoy problem solving and building strategies combining marketing and operations. This brought me to the unique program in IE University; Master’s in Customer Experience and Innovation.

DEFINE YOUR EXPERIENCE IN ONE WORD.

Exploration.

IN WHAT WAYS DO YOU THINK PROGRAM HAS CHANGED YOUR LIFE PROFESSIONALLY AND PERSONALLY?

The program made me learn more about myself and embrace my uniqueness. It made me reflect on how I am as a thinker, contributor and leader and I learned from people from different countries, backgrounds and interests. This experience challenged my thoughts and beliefs, and stretched me to unlock skills I never thought I had.

WHAT HAS BEEN YOUR FAVORITE MEMORY OF YOUR EXPERIENCE?

My favorite memory was not a specific moment in time, but it was the gradual process of the class getting more open, comfortable and close to one another. At the end of the program, we gained new friends who we can call family. This is something I will forever cherish and remember.

WHY DID YOU CHOOSE TO STUDY THIS PROGRAM AT IE?

I specifically wanted to pursue studies on customer experience because I enjoyed being part of a CX team in my previous company. It made me look at the bigger picture of the business from the customer’s perspective. It has a unique balance of business strategy, marketing and operations.

WHAT WERE SOME OF THE MAIN CHALLENGES THAT YOU ENCOUNTERED ON YOUR WAY? HOW DID YOUR MASTER PROGRAM AND IE HELP YOU THROUGH THESE CHALLENGES?

I greatly appreciate the many ways of giving feedback to professors and classes. Students are given surveys for every class to ask about the content and professors. Also, we have an open line of communication with the program director where we can give honest feedback. IE University is very open to suggestions and more importantly, acts on them.

WHAT IS NETWORKING LIKE?

IE gives students a lot of networking opportunities. There are a lot of events and organizations that connect students with employees, business owners and entrepreneurs. It is up to the students to take action and leverage on them.
