IE Business School and Amazon Web Services to Collaborate
Students can receive AWS certification in cloud computing.
Starting in January, IE Business School students can enroll in Amazon Web Services Academy courses to help prepare them to meet the high demand for cloud computing skills worldwide thanks to a new agreement with Amazon Web Services (AWS).
“Cloud computing is one of the most crucial technologies powering the digital age and a driving force in the innovation of many companies,” said IE Business School Dean Martin Boehm. “We always aspire to train our students with the necessary skills to lead in the future.”
The rapid rise in cloud computing is increasing the number of high-quality jobs worldwide.
“This initiative proves IE’s commitment to helping our students be more competitive in the market, to the technology sector and to enlarge our relationships with our key employers,” said Eva Valbuena, Executive Director of IE’s Talent & Career.
“We always aspire to train our students with the necessary skills to lead in the future.”

Students from the International MBA, Master in Management, TechMBA and Bachelor in Business Administration will have access to the AWS curriculum and be able to pursue industry-recognized AWS certifications. IE Business School will begin offering AWS cloud foundation and data analytics certifications.
AWS subject matter experts develop and maintain the AWS Academy curriculum, ensuring that it reflects current services and up-to-date best practices. AWS Academy-accredited and trained educators teach students to become proficient in AWS technology.
“Our collaboration with AWS is an excellent opportunity to not only deepen our collaboration with Amazon, but to equip our students with an essential skill such as cloud computing,” Boehm said.
