IE Business School and the Laidlaw Foundation Launch MBA Scholarship Fund for Highly Talented Women from Across the Globe
With The Laidlaw Women’s Leadership Fund, IE University aims to support the education and advancement of women dedicated to making a positive impact on the world through ethical leadership.

IE Business School, through the IE Foundation, and the Laidlaw Foundation have announced the launch of The Laidlaw Women’s Leadership Fund, which will offer MBA and EMBA scholarships at IE Business School to highly talented women with extraordinary leadership potential from all over the world. The Laidlaw Women’s Leadership Fund will support up to 24 scholars per year over a three-year period, starting with the September 2024 intake. IE Laidlaw Scholars will receive bespoke programming including networking, mentoring and events to enrich their academic experience.

"We are committed to addressing the persistent problem of too few women in the C-Suite. By providing scholarships at IE Business School, we hope to propel more extraordinary women into leadership roles."
Susanna Kempe, CEO of the Laidlaw Foundation

"It is an honor for IE University to collaborate with the Laidlaw Foundation on this very important mission to support the women business leaders of tomorrow and provide educational and advancement opportunities for those who come from socio-economically disadvantaged backgrounds," said Professor Gonzalo Garland, Executive Vice President of the IE Foundation at IE University. "Candidates who demonstrate a particular commitment to ethical leadership and to ‘paying it forward’ will be considered for scholarships for IE Business School’s International MBA and Executive MBA programs."
