IE Business School in the Top 10 in Europe According to Financial Times
The ranking is a compilation of rankings of various masters programs throughout 2022.
The annual Financial Times ranking of European business schools consolidates the results that schools have achieved for each Financial Times ranking of the past year and takes into consideration IE Business School’s International MBA, Executive MBA, and Master in Management, as well as executive education open programs.
“This ranking consolidates our position as an international benchmark for educational innovation. Also noteworthy is our commitment to employability and immersive experiences to enrich the training and career path of our students. Along these lines, we are working on VR, AR, XR and on the design of various metaverses in 2023. Our goal is to guide and support students in their transformation to help them become the best version of themselves,” says Norman Kurtis, Dean of Programs at IE Business School.
This year, IE Business School introduced a new educational paradigm, Next Best You, which is focused on creating profoundly transformational experiences for each student. The school serves as a curator actively devoted to helping students discover and pursue the next best version of themselves with the goal of preparing them for successful and responsible business careers. Next Best You is based on three strategic pillars: Your Career, Your Impact, and Your Purpose.
In its ongoing commitment to innovation applied to education and the development of immersive methodologies, IE University provides VR and AR (glasses to all its students. In 2023, the university plans to open campuses in several metaverses such as Roblox and Decentranland, where students will be able to participate in class and attend events and activities in the digital sphere. IE University and Elysium Ventures, a Silicon Valley-based technology investment fund, have recently joined forces to create the IE Metaverse Center, the first research and innovation center in the metaverse. In a recent interview, Begoña González-Cuesta, dean of education and academic experience at IE Business School discussed how the school is implementing these new technologies.
Other Financial Times rankings not considered in this overall European business school survey include the Online MBA ranking, in which IE’s Global Online MBA program is currently ranked third in the world. In addition, due to it’s alliance with Headspring, IE Business School does not participate in the Financial Times rankings for custom executive education programs.
Furthermore, according to a recent ranking on global employability run by Times Higher Education, IE University was among the few European institutions to land in the top 20 of the world’s best 250 universities. The Talent & Careers team at IE University provides impactful advising, learning resources, and development tools that allow students and alumni to achieve their career goals. The team works closely with international recruiters that are seeking top talent. In 2021, 450 companies visited the IE campus and more than 12,000 job offers were extended to graduates and alumni, with the top countries of recruiters being Spain, Germany, United Kingdom, Italy, United States, France, Switzerland, Netherlands, Luxemburg, and India.
