IE Business School’s Global MBA ranked No. 3 worldwide by the Princeton Review

IE Business School’s Global MBA holds the No. 3 position worldwide in the Princeton Review’s ranking of online MBA programs.

The ranking examined a total of 80 leading business schools worldwide which offer online MBA programs to draw up a final list of the top 25 programs. The results were based on the opinions of some 2,000 students and graduates of the programs, all of which include a minimum of 75% online content. IE is the only non-US business school to be included in the top 25 schools of the ranking.

The Global MBA is an English-taught part-time program that runs for 15 months, and has been undertaken to date by professionals from over 60 countries. The program combines online and face-to-face sessions at IE’s Madrid campus, coupled with video conferences and discussion forums in a digitalized, globalized environment. IE Business School’s Online MBA programs are considered to be the best in the world by international media like Financial Times (2015 Ranking of Online MBAs), QS Top MBA (2015 Ranking of Distance and Online MBAs), and The Economist (2010 Ranking of Distance Learning Executive MBA Programs).

The methodology employed by the Princeton Review is based on the criteria used by the “296 Business Schools” guide, and on the opinions of an advisory board. The ranking examines 5 key areas: academic content, selection processes, faculty, program technology and career services. The methodology used for the ranking is available here.

“Each of our top 25 business schools offers a first rate MBA online as well as on campus”, said Robert Franek, Senior VP-Publisher of the Princeton Review,  who believes that business schools are now providing innovative options when it comes to doing an MBA in a prestigious institution, regardless of a person’s geographic location.

The ranking underscored the fact that 27% of the 2,000 students of online MBA programs interviewed for this year’s ranking are interested in making a career shift, 86% consider that the technological platform used for their program is “excellent or above average,” and 93% were satisfied or very satisfied with their choice of program.

Forty-two percent of the students of the 25 business schools that were included in the ranking had received financial assistance from their place of employment, 44% were promoted during the program, and the average salary of graduates was US$84,000 on completion of the program, having increased by an average of 25%.
