IE Business School’s MBA ranked 8th worldwide by Bloomberg BusinessWeek

IE Business School’s International MBA program holds the No. 8 position in the 2017 Bloomberg Businessweek ranking in the category of non-US business Schools.

This result further consolidates IE Business School IMBA program’s position among the best MBAs in the world, and follows on from the No. 4 position achieved days ago in the Financial Times ranking of European business schools (December 2017).

In order to draw up its ranking Bloomberg Businessweek gauged the opinions of more than 600 international recruiters regarding the profile of MBA graduates. The U.S. based publication also questioned some 10,000 MBA graduates on how the program has impacted their careers, and asked over 9,000 current students about the quality of their programs, as well as evaluating levels of employability and salary progression.

Ninety-two per cent of this year’s intake of IE Business School’s International MBA are international students, hailing from 74 countries, with an average of just under 6 years’ relevant work experience. There are English-taught and Spanish-taught versions of IE’s one-year IMBA program, and students are able to customize their education in line with their interests and career plans. Students can opt for the “Creators” track with a marked focus on entrepreneurship, or the “Transformers” track, if they intend to develop a career as directors in the corporate world. They can also further personalize their learning experience by choosing from over 150 elective courses, as well as being able to undertake consulting projects or work on social initiatives in South Africa, Ethiopia, Peru or Brazil.

IE Business School International MBA students can participate in the Post-MBA Long Exchange Program, a three-month exchange program which permits them to choose a destination from among 58 partner schools around the world, including Chicago Booth (US), NYU Stern (US), GIBS-Gordon Institute of Business Science (South Africa), London Business School (UK), and Tsinghua (China). They also have the opportunity to further extend their networks at the Global Network Week, travel with IE’s Venture Lab initiative to examine entrepreneurial ecosystems  in other countries, or present their own business projects at Venture Day events held by IE in cities that include Shanghai, Sao Paulo, Mexico D.F., Providence, Berlin, Tokyo and Lisbon. The program offers a total of 66 international destinations that serve to further enrich the MBA experience.
