Build your career around the issues you care about
Finding meaning in your career is both satisfying and fulfilling. It offers you something that no job title, salary, or responsibility alone can do. But finding that purpose while navigating your ambitions in the C-suite can be a challenge. While some students know exactly what they want to achieve at this level outside of the boardroom, others take longer to decide what is important to them.
Whichever category you fall into, IE Business School will be there to nurture your sense of purpose. While you embark on your own journey of self-discovery, so will your peers – giving you the opportunity to collaborate and start building your network, fostering long-lasting partnerships that bring as much value outside the C-suite as within.
What’s more, one of the key focus areas of the Global Executive MBA is sustainability. The program will equip you with the skills and strategies to build purpose-driven organizations, designed to make sustainable and lasting impact. Part of our commitment to doing Business With Purpose, it ensures that the businesses you lead will prioritize their responsibilities to their people, society, and the wellbeing of others.
PUTTING YOUR PURPOSE TO WORK
Planet
We all have a responsibility to the planet we call home. Businesses that embrace sustainability are in a position to achieve great things, creating a better world at the same time as driving commercial success.
At IE Business School, sustainability is at our core. Proudly carbon neutral since 2022, we are ranked #2 worldwide by the Financial Times for our efforts to reduce our carbon footprint. That leaves us ideally placed to help you find your purpose and drive positive change for the planet and the environment.
Society
At IE Business School we champion social entrepreneurship and will give you the skillset needed to lead in situations where social problems arise. But it will not be a simple matter of problem-solving. You’ll learn to adopt an entrepreneurial mindset, while using your abilities as an emotionally intelligent leader, to enable you to tackle a diverse range of issues affecting society today and in the future.
People
At IE Business School, we believe that the people you work with are as important as the results you deliver. We call this Working Well. That’s why the Global Executive MBA will nurture your performance in the global boardroom while instilling a commitment to wellbeing – both your own and those around you.
You’ll learn how to foster supportive and inclusive workplaces that maximize the potential of the people working there. And the program's residential periods will give you the experience you need to work in a diverse environment and with different cultures, allowing you to build bridges of trust and respect from day one.

What type of coaching does the Global Executive MBA include?
As well as gaining the relevant knowledge to succeed in your desired field, getting the right support is vital as you aspire to reach the top of your game. This is where the Personal Advisory Program comes in. At IE Business School, we take support and guidance very seriously and have developed a proven coaching methodology that provides students with a tailored assessment of their strengths and development areas. Our trained and experienced coaches will help guide you toward your goals in five individual Zoom sessions that take into account your personal needs.
In addition, students can choose between two tracks: Leadership coaching and career coaching, depending on their personal career goals. In the Leadership track, you’ll work with a coach one-on-one to strengthen a specific set of leadership abilities.
