In 2023, the Center for the Governance of Change was the academic and content partner of Spain's public television TVE on '10.000 Días', a prime-time documentary series directed by renowned reporter Carlos Franganillo. The series explores the emerging technologies and the social, political and economic currents that are transforming our world.
Carlos Franganillo, now at Telecinco, was the anchor of Spain's main public television news show for the last five years. Previously, he was TVE's correspondent in Washington, D.C. (2014-2018) and Moscow (2011-2014). He specializes in technology, international relations, defense and intelligence.
The four episodes that comprise '10.000 Días' cover how technology can help develop clean energies to combat the climate crisis; the relationship between information technologies, populism and surveillance; how deep machine learning and AI facilitate autonomous vehicles and better medical diagnostics; or the promise of biotechnologies to drastically enhance life prospects.
