PREVENTIVE CULTURE IN A CHANGING WORK ENVIRONMENT: KEY STRATEGIES TO REDUCE WORKPLACE ACCIDENTS

AUTHORS: ROCÍO BONET, IGNACIO PARDILLO The second report from the DKV-IE Chair outlines the factors influencing workplace accident rates, such as temporary hiring, frequent new hires, and increased internal turnover. These conditions contribute to lower training in occupational risk prevention and hinder integration into the company’s safety culture. The report also proposes strategies to reduce workplace accidents, including strengthening training programs, improving the integration of temporary employees, fostering safety leadership, and promoting the communication of best practices.

One of the most notable findings of this study, based on a survey of 415 team of managers in Spain, all of them from diverse sectors and with jobs suitable for remote work, is that 25% of managers give up some of the days of remote work offered by the company, even though they would like to work remotely more.
