ELECNOR and IE Foundation expand the scope of the Knowledge Hub on Ethical Business and welcome EY as a strategic partner
Aligned with its commitment to business ethics, this initiative aims to generate applied knowledge and foster dialogue with experts, companies, and academic institutions. With EY as a strategic partner, it strengthens a more practical and action-oriented approach.
Madrid, January 7th 2025 – ELECNOR and IE Foundation have announced a strategic transformation of the IE-Elecnor Observatory on Sustainable Compliance Cultures. Established in 2019, the Observatory was designed as a specialized source of research, information, and knowledge to drive the adoption of a culture of Sustainable Compliance among small and medium-sized enterprises. It also aimed to provide experts, researchers, and professionals with an academic and business space for developing key aspects of effective compliance implementation.
Since January 1st, 2025, the Observatory evolved into the IE-Elecnor Knowledge Hub on Ethical Business, expanding its scope to cover various aspects of corporate sustainability and fostering reflection and dialogue with different stakeholders in the business, academic, and legal sectors on ethics in business.
Enrique Aznar, professor at IE University and director of the Knowledge Hub, emphasizes: “This transformation will enable a more dynamic and practical approach to the creation, exchange, and dissemination of knowledge in areas such as sustainable compliance, ethics, and governance.”
In this new phase, the IE-Elecnor Knowledge Hub on Ethical Business is pleased to announce EY as its new strategic partner, reinforcing its commitment to a culture of collaboration. This milestone is supported by Isabel García Tejerina, Senior Advisor in Environment, Sustainability, and Agribusiness, and Lourdes Centeno, Partner in charge of the legal area at EY Abogados. Their extensive experience and leadership in sustainability, business ethics, and governance will significantly contribute to the project.
This partnership will enable a more practical and action-oriented approach, developing real-world cases and innovative solutions that bridge theory with the concrete needs of the corporate environment. It also brings a perspective that helps understand emerging trends and facilitates the creation of applicable tools.
ELECNOR, EY, and IE Foundation will focus on enhancing applied research to develop practical studies that provide tangible solutions to current challenges in sustainability and compliance. They will also prioritize a commitment to innovation, exploring the impact of emerging technologies in transforming corporate transparency and sustainability.
The Knowledge Hub on Ethical Business is establishing itself as a benchmark in ethical and sustainable corporate culture, driven by its commitment to innovation, strategic collaboration, and the creation of practical knowledge that inspires change in the business landscape.
