Isabel García Tejerina

Senior Advisor in Environment, Sustainability, and Agribusiness at EY

Isabel García Tejerina currently works at EY as a Senior Advisor in Environment, Sustainability, and Agribusiness. She served as the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries, Food, and Environment for four years (2014–2018). During this time, she also acted as Vice President of the High-Level Group for the 2030 Agenda. Isabel was Secretary General for Agriculture and Food for six years (2000–2004 and 2012–2014). She was the Director of Strategic Planning at Fertiberia, overseeing the Research, Development, and Innovation Department, Market Research, and Agronomic Services. For six years, she was a member of the Board of Directors at FERTIAL S.P.A, an Algerian fertilizer manufacturing company.

Isabel García Tejerina holds a degree in Agricultural Engineering from the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid and a Law degree from the Universidad de Valladolid. She earned a Master’s in Agricultural Economics from the University of California, Davis, and a Master’s in European Communities from the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. She also completed the Global Senior Management Program at the IE Business School in collaboration with the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business, as well as the Advanced Energy Business Course at the Spanish Energy Club.
