Lourdes Centeno
Partner in charge of the legal area at EY Lawyers
Lourdes Centeno is the partner responsible for the legal area at EY Abogados, where she leads the Corporate Law, Corporate Governance, and Capital Markets practice. She has led projects evaluating boards of directors and implementing Corporate Governance systems in both listed and non-listed entities; likewise, she has advised on Good Governance and corporate transactions for companies listed on the Spanish stock exchange.
Regarding her academic background, Lourdes holds a Law Degree from ICADE (Universidad Pontificia de Comillas), is a member of the State Attorney Corps, and has completed the Leadership Program for Public Administration at IESE.
In her more than 20 years of career, Lourdes has been Vice President of the Spanish Securities Market Commission (CNMV) and a board member of the Bank of Spain. She has also been a member of the Board of Directors and the Executive Committee of the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA), as well as Technical Secretary General at the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness.
