IE Center for Diversity in Global Management presents its new report on Innovation and Diversity

The latest report highlights the positive influence of diversity and innovation on the competitiveness and efficiency of Spanish businesses, emphasizing the importance of embracing these factors for success.

MADRID, February 1, 2023. – The Foundation for Diversity and the IE Foundation, with the support of Pfizer, HP, and in collaboration with AmChamSpain, presented the results of the “Innodiversity in the Spanish Companies 2019-2022” report at the Representation of the European Commission in Spain.

Carme Artigas, Secretary of State for Digitization and Artificial Intelligence, who inaugurated the event, emphasized during the welcome that “the global battle for innovation is the battle for talent.”

Subsequently, Celia de Anca, Director of the center, and Salvador Aragón, General Director of Innovation at IE University, presented the results. The conclusions drawn from the report indicate that the company in Spain has obtained a good rating in its management of innodiversity by putting diversity at the service of innovation and that cognitive diversity still has a long way to go.

Following the presentation of the results, a round table was held in which Laura Santacreu, Human Resources Director for HP in Southern Europe; Maite Hernández, Communications Director of Pfizer Spain; Cristina Olmedo, Director of HR at the Territorial InTouch in CaixaBank; and Dante Cacciatore, Director of Culture, Talent, and Digitalization at Telefónica Spain, participated. In addition, during the event, a video message from Irena Moozova, Director of Equality and European Citizenship at the European Commission, was broadcasted.

The Innodiversity Index is a comprehensive study that was carried out from 2019 to 2022, in which more than 700 companies participated. The objective of the study is to measure the level of innovation and diversity in organizations to improve their competitiveness and efficiency.
