IE Foundation Annual Report 2022
The year 2022 proved to be a year of significant accomplishments for IE Foundation. Once again, we deepened our collaborations with corporate and institutional partners, with the goal of investing in the potential of upcoming generations. Through scholarships, collaborations and partnerships, the Foundation remains dedicated to empowering talented individuals and driving positive change within the IE Community.
Talent development
In 2022, talent development initiatives thrived. We proudly introduced new scholarship programs such as the Ghanaian Young Talented Leaders Scholarship Program, granting nine scholarships to aspiring master’s students. Another notable initiative is the active participation of the IE Foundation Fellows, now with 1,012 members, in exclusive activities that have nurtured their personal growth, forged friendships, and fostered a strong community of impact ambassadors.
This year also marked a significant milestone as the IE Community united to inaugurate the First IE Annual Giving Week. This event brought together students, alumni, friends, staff, and family to raise awareness and funds for IE Foundation scholarships. It served as a celebration of the transformative impact of Giving Back.
Knowledge generation and diffusion
IE Foundation undertook new impactful projects and fostered collaborations with external organizations. Notable collaborative initiatives included the launch of the Impact Bridge–IE Chair of Social Entrepreneurship & Impact Investment, emerging from the partnership between IE Foundation and Impact Bridge Asset Management. In 2022, we proudly supported over 20 research initiatives that align with our core values of diversity, inclusivity, and innovation. As part of these efforts, several impactful reports were published. Among them were “Momentos de la verdad para familias empresarias” by the IE Center for Families in Business and BBVA Global Wealth, which shed light on crucial moments faced by family businesses. We also saw the publication of the fourth report from the Household Savings Observatory as well as “El modelo concesional en España: Beneficios y cuestiones a resolver” from the IE Center for Transport Economics & Infrastructure Management which explored the benefits and unresolved issues of the concession model in Spain.
Driving social impact promoting IE Values
IE Foundation supported and engaged in numerous social impact initiatives, fostering positive change and upholding IE’s values. Our support extended to various programs such as the Travel4Impact Project, in partnership with Amadeus, which expanded its reach by involving companies from across Europe in its second edition, amplifying its impact. Additionally, we backed initiatives as the Digital Transformation for Inclusive Business Development powered by the IE Center for Social Innovation & Sustainability, the fifth edition of the Fundación MAPFRE Awards for Social Innovation, the enlightED global education conference, Hay Festival Segovia, LGBT+@Work conference, Women in Leadership Conference, and the dynamic presentations and performances by student clubs at Global Village Day.
At IE Foundation, we recognize that our initiatives, actions, and accomplishments are made possible by the unwavering support of all our donors. From students and alumni to parents, partners, faculty, and staff, their dedication and trust in our work enable us to create a meaningful impact on our community and society at large.
We invite you to explore the array of initiatives and projects we embarked upon in 2022, showcasing our collective efforts to nurture talent and drive positive change.
