Madrid, December 1st 2023 — Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation and IE Foundation have partnered up in a joint commitment to create a better world through education and impactful initiatives that provide solutions to society’s most pressing challenges. Last June, this collaboration led to the creation of a new scholarship program with the goal of empowering aspiring students who are passionately dedicated to driving sustainable social transformation.
As a result of this agreement and in a recent effort to continue making impact in our community, IE University – through IE Foundation and Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation – proudly welcomes the photographic exhibition titled “Environmental Photography Award (2023 Edition): The Living World in Perspective”.
In collaboration with the IE Sustainability Office, the IE School of Humanities and the IE School of Architecture and Design, the photographic collection will be exhibited in the facilities of the iconic IE Tower, a space that contributes to the mission of disseminating and promoting the importance of sustainability and environmental conservation, having been recognized as the first carbon-neutral university campus in Europe.
This exhibition originates from the 1st Edition of the Environmental Photography Award FPA2, an initiative launched in 2022 by Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation which aims to support photographers who leverage their creativity to raise awareness about Earth’s protection. The collection of captivating photographs is a testament to the power of visual storytelling in raising environmental consciousness.
The exhibition invites visitors to immerse themselves in the essence of wildlife, bringing society closer to distant realities from our day-to-day lives. By showcasing these visuals both organizations aim to inspire awareness and action towards a more sustainable and prosperous society.
The “Environmental Photography Award (2023 Edition): The Living World in Perspective” exhibition will run from December 1st to the end of January at IE Tower, providing students, faculty, and staff with an opportunity to engage with the impactful narratives conveyed through the lens of environmental photographers.
