IE Foundation participates in NGOs & Foundations Day at IE University

The NGOs & Foundations Day at IE University is designed to help students take the next step for their future.

IE Talent & Careers hosted an online event, the Non-Governmental Organizations & Foundations Day at IE University. World-renowned foundations and NGOs were invited to speak to IE students about the potential career paths and job opportunities they can access within the sector after graduating from IE University.

The event was open to students and alumni alike and was held entirely online. Students were able to find answers to their questions about careers in the nonprofit sector and learn how they can impact the world in a positive way through their work. This full-day event was aimed at helping students develop clarity in their career aspirations and choose a path that is meaningful to them and aligns with their professional goals.

Students were able to create their own itinerary for the day, choosing from various virtual discussions with representatives from world-leading NGOs and foundations. The 16 participating organizations included Project Elea, Doctors Without Borders, Puentes Global, Save the Children, Action Against Hunger, Human Rights Watch, Oceana and many more.

The day concluded with a panel hosted by IE Foundation, with Sterrin Bird, CFRE, and Dr. Matthias Bosch discussing the topic of “Jobs with Impact & Purpose: Working in the Third Sector.” Sterrin Bird is the Senior Director and Nonprofit Industry Advisor for Salesforce, as well as a member of the Forbes Nonprofit Council. Dr. Matthias Bosch, like Sterrin, is an international leader in the field, currently holding the position of Executive Coordinator for Global Dignity in New York. Both professionals shared their expertise in the nonprofit sector, drawing on their extensive professional background to impart wisdom to students and alumni curious about the world of NGOs. The online panel was moderated by Geoffroy Gérard, Managing Director at IE Foundation.
