In recognition of this collaboration, Fundación Damm will inaugurate the Damm Classroom at IE Tower, IE University’s new technological and sustainable campus in Madrid. Damm will participate in social impact activities, share its strategic vision, participate in key events and strengthen its network with IE University’s research faculty, students and graduates, who are part of a platform of more than 80,000 executives in 180 countries. This project reinforces the Damm Foundation’s mission to promote education, culture and sports.

“In 1876, our founders took the risk of leaving their native Alsace to brew beer in the Mediterranean. They were entrepreneurs, and hired experts to train apprentices so they could create a quality product. This approach is part of Damm’s DNA and shows itself today in the form of corporate social responsibility. That is why this academic-business agreement is so important: it allows us to anticipate tomorrow with new sustainable approaches that benefit society. The fact that IE University is celebrating ‘The Next 50’, looking to the future, to the next 50 years, and that Damm is about to celebrate its 150th anniversary, gives greater meaning to this collaboration,” explains Demetrio Carceller Arce, Executive Chairman of Damm and President of the Damm Foundation.

To achieve this positive change we need global leaders with an innovative, sustainable and responsible vision. Fundación Damm is helping us to achieve this goal,” said Gonzalo Garland, Vice President of Fundación IE.
