David Gómez-Ullate, the Vice-Dean of Research at the School of Science & Technology at IE University, has held prominent research roles in numerous institutions, including McGill University and Complutense University of Madrid. Acclaimed for his work on exceptional orthogonal polynomials, David has published over 60 research papers in top journals and delivered plenary talks and seminars worldwide. Over the past decade, he has focused on applying mathematics to industry, earning recognition such as the Leonardo Scholarship for credit card fraud detection research. Nowadays, he coordinates the Green Navigation project, targeting maritime decarbonization.
