IE University will host a high-profile symposium, “Destination Impact: From Inspiration to Implementation,” on Friday, October 4, 2024, at the IE University Campus in Madrid.
Led by Rachida Justo, Director of the Impact Bridge – IE Chair, this event brings together prominent leaders from the impact-investing sector alongside internationally renowned academics.
The symposium will address the key challenges in impact investing, leveraging the experience of impact-investing professionals and the insights of academics who have been shaping this conversation for years. The collaboration aims to translate real-world challenges into research-driven solutions, bridging the gap between theory and practice.
The event features representatives from Toniic, Impact Europe, COFIDES, Creas, SpainNAB, Impact Bridge, PFC Family Office, Blink, Sefea Impact, Q-Impact, and Impact Capital. Their firsthand experience will guide the conversation, driving forward the impact investment sector.
The symposium’s activities will include keynote speeches and hands-on workshops that seek to identify future research lines, focusing on impact investing and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). A final report will be published after the event, encapsulating the insights gathered, which will serve as a call to action for academics to pursue research addressing the sector’s pressing needs.
