Madrid, March 16TH, 2023. This afternoon the event “Past, present and future of sustainable and impact investment” took place at the IE Tower, the first annual sustainability event co-organized by the ESG Committee of CFA Society Spain, through the Impact Bridge-IE Chair of Social Entrepreneurship and Impact Investment and IE Foundation.
The event began with a warm welcome from Dr. Rachida Justo, Director of the Impact Bridge-IE Chair of Social Entrepreneurship and Impact Investment, followed by José Luis de Mora, President of CFA Society Spain and Senior Executive Vice President of Santander Group.
The session featured several interesting interventions by top-level speakers, beginning with the debate “From Kyoto to the present: challenges and opportunities for sustainability” which featured the participation of Ms. Isabel Tocino, Former Minister of the Environment and Vice President of Banco Santander Spain, and Íñigo Serrats, Managing Partner and Co-founder of Impact Bridge.
The debate was followed by a panel of investors under the theme “Sustainability challenges, opportunities and solutions in the Asset Management industry today” moderated by Pablo Bascones, Partner Responsible for Sustainability at PWC; with the intervention of Augusto Caro, Global Head of ESG at Santander Asset Management; Juan Elorduy, Partner Elona Capital; and Íñigo Serrats, Managing Partner and Co-founder of Impact Bridge.
Lastly, the event was closed with a presentation from Dr. Rachida Justo, director of the Chair, who shared the progress of one of the academic studies on the best practices of impact managers carried out by Pola Nachyla, Associate in Position Green and external collaborator of the Chair.
