Metaverse Lab

(In collaboration with: Elysium Ventures)

The metaverse is a virtual universe that is being developed as an extension of the internet. It is essentially a network of interconnected virtual worlds, environments, and spaces that enable users to interact with each other and digital content in a more immersive and engaging way.

The metaverse is expected to be a fully immersive and interactive environment where users can experience and participate in activities that are similar to those in the physical world, such as socializing, entertainment, education, and commerce. It will be a place where people can create and customize their digital avatars, access virtual goods and services, and participate in virtual economies.

AI

Artificial Intelligence is the development of computer systems that can perform tasks that typically require human intelligence, such as visual perception, speech recognition, decision-aking and natural language processing.

Cybersecurity

Luis Galindo, Faculty Lead, Cybersecurity IX

Cybersecurity refers to the practice of protecting computer systems, networks, and sensitive information from unauthorized access, theft, or damage. With the increasing reliance on technology in our daily lives, cybersecurity has become a critical issue for individuals, businesses, and governments.

Blockchain

Blockchain is a distributed digital ledger technology that enables secure, transparent, and tamper-resistant transactions without the need for intermediaries, such as banks or governments. It allows multiple parties to maintain a shared database that records every transaction made on the network, creating a permanent and auditable record.
