Juan Carlos is an Associate Professor of Leadership at IE. Before that, he was Assistant Professor of Management at the Richard Ivey School of Business and Visiting Professor at Lancaster Management School in the UK and Concordia University in Canada. He earned a PhD in Organizational Behavior from the State University of New York at Buffalo, an M.A. in Social Psychology from Clark University and a B.A. in Psychology from University Autónoma of Madrid. He is also the recipient of a Fulbright Scholarship at Harvard University.
Professor Pastor is a leading expert in the areas of Leadership Development, Coaching, Organizational Change and Organizational Learning. He was the Founder and Director of the Center for Global Leadership at IE. His research articles have appeared in leading academic journals and professional outlets.
He has received numerous teaching awards from IE from his teaching in the MBA and Executive Education programs and he was selected as one of the world´s next generation thought leaders in the Next Generation Business Handbook in 2004.
