The Science of Happiness (Part II)
Happiness can change the world, in a peaceful, acquired revolution, argues Tal Ben-Shahar, CEO of the Happiness Studies Academy and Professor of Positive Psychology at Harvard University, in the second part of his conversation with Diego del Alcázar Benjumea, Executive Vice President at IE University. The two also discuss the implications of technological advances on happiness and ways in which it can be managed by placing the focus on people. In achieving this goal, the humanities have an important role to play. The 21st century needs students to be equipped with essential life skills that will enhance their impact in the world and that’s the purpose of IE’s Center for Health, Well-Being and Happiness that will be launching its first courses in the second semester of this academic year.
