About me

I’m from Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia, and I consider myself an active and creative person. I love the world of art and fashion, and am inspired by people’s backstories and the little details in life. My time at IE University has infused me with the same entrepreneurial spirit that runs through the institution’s veins, and this has led me to create my own startup. Beautify Bolivia is an entrepreneurial project that was born during the pandemic and has been operating in my country for more than a year. In the future, I hope to expand to other countries in Europe and South America.

What are your passions and career aspirations?

I’m passionate about fashion, a sector I’d like to work in one day as either a lawyer or an entrepreneur. My career aspirations lean more on the business side. During the pandemic, I founded a startup, Beautify Bolivia, which has been operating in my country for more than a year. It’s an app that connects professionals in the beauty industry with customers who want to receive these services from the comfort of their home. In the next few years, I hope to be able to expand my business to other countries in Latin America and Europe.

What was your professional career like before the Doble Máster en Abogacía at IE University? Tell us about your previous educational and professional experiences.

Before my master’s degree, I completed the Dual Degree Bachelor in Business Administration + Laws at IE University. This dual degree opened many doors for me, both in the field of business and in the world of law. On the one hand, it infused me with the same entrepreneurial spirit that runs through IE University’s veins, which is what inspired me to create my own startup. On the other hand, I was able to do internships at very important law firms in Spain, which greatly contributed to my professional development.

Why did you choose IE University for your Doble Máster en Abogacía?

IE University is my alma mater, a place where I had experienced tremendous personal and professional growth in the five years leading up to my master’s degree. That experience, along with the trust I have in IE University, led me to choose the institution again for my master’s studies.

What do you like most about the Doble Máster en Abogacía so far?

I can already say that the program is an experience that has completely taken me out of my comfort zone. Studying in Spanish after so many years—and in a program that’s very demanding—has been a challenge that has brought out the best in me. That feeling, accompanied by the people I’ve met over the past few months, is turning my experience into something tremendously positive.

Tell us about something you were pleasantly surprised by.

I was very surprised by the effort from the Talent & Careers team to help us get internships. They’re eager to show us how to build a good CV and stand out in the selection process.

Where would you like to work after completing the master’s? And how is IE University helping you achieve this goal?

There are two options that interest me: working in a law firm or working in the legal department of a company in the fashion sector, such as LVMH. The IE Talent & Careers portal is an amazing platform to find job openings. In addition, all the team members are always available, and offer personalized tutoring to help you find a job that’s right for you.

Tell us about something you learned at IE University that will be useful throughout your career.

IE University always encourages me to innovate. No matter what you study, this is something you always have to keep in mind. In any profession and any role, it’s important to be aware of the latest trends and know how to evolve with them.

What advice would you give someone who’s considering the program?

I would encourage them to go for it! I believe that, while it’s a very demanding program, the knowledge you gain and the doors it opens for you are infinite.

Where do you see yourself in five or ten years?

I see myself running my own company in different countries, applying everything I’ve learned in my undergraduate and master’s studies at IE University.

How would you sum up your experience at IE University?

My experience at IE University has been totally enriching and transformational. These have been years of growth for me, both professionally and personally. They’ve been years of expansion, where I’ve discovered different cultures and met many people with very different stories and aspirations. They’ve been years of discovery, in a city as massive and varied as Madrid. In short, they’ve been years of learning and constant change.
