Global LegalTech Venture Day in Japan: Celebrating innovation with Bering Lab's victory

On May 9, Kyushu University hosted the Global LegalTech Venture Day in Japan, a dynamic event showcasing innovation in legal technology. Organized by IE Law School, the Law Schools Global League (LSGL), LexisNexis and the Kyushu University, the event attracted more than 120 attendees, highlighting the growing interest in leveraging technology to revolutionize legal services.

The competition featured startups BoostDraft, MBK Integrated Digital Strategy Division, Jurídicon, and 베링랩 (Bering Lab), showcasing groundbreaking solutions. Congratulations to Bering Lab for clinching the top prize and demonstrating exceptional ingenuity in the legal tech space.

The day opened with an inspiring speech by Professor Mariko Igimi from Kyushu University, setting the tone for a forward-thinking discussion on legal innovation. The keynote address, delivered by Mr. Takayuki Matsuo, partner at law firm Momo-o, Matsuo & Namba and representative executive of the AI/Contract Review Association, tackled the topic: “Current Issues of Legal Tech and the Venture Spirit.”

Mr. Matsuo also served on the distinguished jury panel, joined by:

A panel discussion followed, featuring insights from:
