IBA and IE Law School partner to empower young lawyers with leadership, management and metaverse training

The Young Lawyers Committee of the International Bar Association (IBA) and IE Law School join forces to predict the challenges and trends that will confront the lawyer of the 21st century. For several years, they have been conducting the young lawyer training program, 'The Fundamentals of International Business Law Practice'. This year's focus is on leadership, management, and the metaverse.

The daylong training program was held on October 26 at IE Tower in Madrid and aimed to help the master's students at IE Law School to become 'champion lawyers’. The event featured a series of panels and keynote lectures given by IE Law School professors, members of the IBA Young Lawyers Committee, and prominent legal professionals from law firms (Uría Menéndez, Pérez-Llorca, BLP Abogados...) and international companies (Meta, BNP Paribas, Acciona Energía, Banco Santander...).

The IBA is the leading international organization for international legal practitioners, bar associations and law societies, shaping the legal profession worldwide. Currently, there are more than 190 member bar associations and law societies, and 80,000 individual lawyers in over 170 countries. The IBA Young Lawyers’ Committee seeks to identify, discuss and promote issues involving young professionals both around the world and within the association.
