IE University signs a collaboration agreement with the APM FoundationMacarena Plaza, Head of Corporate Development and Legal Innovation at IE Law School; Mª Jesús del Barco, Chief Judge of Madrid and President of the APM; Ramón Rodríguez, Vice President Emeritus of the Constitutional Court; Soledad Atienza, Dean of IE Law School; and Joaquín Gadea, reinforcement magistrate-judge of the CGPJ.

IE Law School announces a collaboration agreement with the Fundación de la Asociación Profesional de la Magistratura (APM), whose activity is aimed at judges and magistrates—active, on leave or secondment, or retired. The Association pays particular attention to newly entered members of the judiciary, such as trainee judges.

With the aim of collaborating in the collective education and training of judiciary judges and magistrates, the agreement will facilitate access to IE Law School's executive education programs for APM members. Furthermore, the alliance will allow those professionals to enjoy scholarships that will cover part of the programs’ tuition fees.

On the other hand, the agreement will promote a range of public-sector outreach activities among IE Law School alumni, as well as joint events focused on issues such as the digitalization of justice, and its impact on the lives of citizens and businesses alike.

ABOUT THE PROFESSIONAL ASSOCIATION OF THE MAGISTRACY (APM)

The APM is a judicial organization, a Spanish member of the International Association of Judges headquartered in Rome, constituted under Article 127 of the Spanish Constitution and Article 401 of the Ley Orgánica del Poder Judicial (LOPJ). Currently it comprises over 1,300 judges and magistrates, a quarter of the judiciary, in defense of their professional interests and in undertaking activities in the service of justice in general, with no links to any political parties or ideology. In November 2002 the APM, through an agreement with its Permanent Committee, decided to constitute a foundation and in July 2004, the Foundation of the Magistracy was granted its written constitution.
