The opening ceremony of the ‘Programa Ejecutivo en Asesoría Jurídica de los Negocios,’ in collaboration with PwC Tax & Legal, KPMG Abogados, and EY Abogados, took place on September 6.

Through this program, 60 recently graduated lawyers will receive training in corporate law, business management, and other practical skills over the course of two years.

The initiative is led by Pilar Galeote, a professor at IE Law School, and the event was attended by Soledad Atienza, dean of IE Law School, who described the program as “unique and pioneering in our sector” and praised the step taken by the three law firms to share a major project like this one.

Joaquín Latorre, partner in charge of PwC Tax & Legal, highlighted how the tree professional services firms represent the same idea of the modern practice of law. “Together, we enhance the capabilities of our professionals,” he added.

“We compete, but we have a very similar business and talent management vision. The best asset we have is our professionals,” said Alberto Estrelles, managing partner of KPMG Abogados.

Ramón Palacín, Tax and Law Managing Partner of EY Abogados, concluded by stating that the program "is the best way to bridge the gap between the experiences shared by the professors and real-world practice."

During the event, three second-year participants—Enrique de Umarán (PwC Tax & Legal), Pablo Araujo (KPMG Abogados), and Victoria Gimeno (EY Abogados)—shared their experiences, unanimously agreeing that organization, teamwork, and camaraderie are key to making the most of this valuable learning opportunity.
