Johanna Jacobsson is Assistant Professor at IE University (Madrid, Spain). She holds a PhD from the European University Institute (Florence, Italy, 2016) and LL.B., LL.M. and BA degrees from the University of Helsinki (Finland).
She has previously been a law clerk at the Court of Justice of the European Union, a researcher at the Finnish Institute of International Affairs and a practitioner in a law firm.
Since July 2018, Johanna is a member of the Executive Council of the Society of International Economic Law (SIEL). Johanna’s research is mainly in international trade law and EU law.
She is focusing particularly on services liberalization, preferential trade agreements and the international regulatory environment for digital services. Her study of automation of law centers around the accessibility of EU and international commitments to private individuals and companies.
