Valerio De Stefano holds the Canada Research Chair in Innovation, Law and Society at Osgoode Hall Law School since 2022.

Previously, he was the BOFZAP Professor of Labor Law at the KU Leuven, in Belgium, where he led a team of young researchers working at the intersection of labour law and technology.

From 2014 to 2017, he was an officer of the International Labor Office in Geneva.

His research focuses on artificial intelligence and algorithmic management at the workplace, platform work, and fundamental labour rights.

He holds a PhD. from Bocconi University, Milan, Italy (2011).
