The first generation of graduates of the IE Data Science Bootcamp will present their projects and ideas to the public on Thursday, December 14th, 2017. This is an opportunity for recruiters to find their next talented hire, as well as for the graduates to provide their audience with a window into the lucrative world of data science. Knowledge of Data Science is one of the most valuable skills right now, as data is now a company’s most strategic asset. A necessity to businesspeople across the board and relevant in all fields and walks of life, Data Science has also now become a more approachable concept than ever.
Our three groups have real-life datasets from our partner companies, Indra, Nielsen, and Amadeus, and after telling us the story behind the data will answer questions from a panel of expert jurors from our corporate partners and Bootcamp faculty.
We will then follow the presentations with cocktails to celebrate this achievement and grant attendees an opportunity to network and pick the brains of the future leaders in this field. Prospective participants of future IE Bootcamps can see the resources that are exclusively available at IE while enjoying a glass of wine and hors-d’oeuvres and the company of tech-savvy and ambitious peers.
Demo Day begins at 17:00 with the final presentation concluding at 20:00, wrapping up the day with wine/hors-d’oeuvres and networking

A recent white paper from Good Rebels sums it up nicely: “[I]n a competitive scenario where challenges are constantly renewed and data doesn’t stop flowing, the data scientist’s work enables managers to move from an ad hoc analysis to an ongoing conversation with the data.
The Good Rebels also affirms that the profile is in demand:
Their sudden appearance in the business world and the high demand for these professional expected over the coming years confirm that there is a growing need to process large volumes of information and transform it into a valuable asset, given that data “in its raw state” is not useful for companies. Only an in-depth analysis offers the chance to reveal patterns and trends, which at the same time streamline business processes and optimize decision-making.
Demo Day is your chance to see how data is not just a mass but how it can help you bring substance into vital strategic decisions across industries and be part of one of the most rapidly growing sectors.
