Executive Breakfast: Maximizing the Impact of Learning through Educational Innovation
This week we enjoyed a breakfast with the talented IE University Lifelong Learning community, combining face-to-face and remote connection.
Jorge Sánchez Paniagua, director of Marketing and Admissions at IE University Lifelong Learning, together with Julián Trigo, director of Corporate Development at IE University, welcomed the participants and encouraged them to share their experiences and explore future synergies.
The event began with the “Maximizing the Impact of Learning through Educational Innovation” masterclass, delivered by Martin Rodríguez Jugo, general manager of IE University Lifelong Learning & Digital Learning.
During the session, attendees discovered valuable lessons, including:
- How the evolution of case studies from their paper format to a multimedia environment allows students to experience immersive business dynamics.
- The benefit of developing interactive tutorials that foster students' soft skills.
- The importance of including storytelling in interactive resources, immersing users in real situations for a deeper educational experience.
- How individual simulators help motivate students by immersing themselves in learning and trying harder.
What’s more, attendees learned about the various practical applications of these new technologies. Elena Alberti described the implementation of simulators at clients in Europe—specifically Italy and Switzerland. Sara AlRabab, meanwhile, shared the experience of the Zain Group. After a 40-person pilot in 2023, they plan to train 1,000 more in 2024.
Participants also enjoyed the "Eye in the Storm" virtual reality experience, which has been recognized with a Financial Times award. The event concluded with a breakfast in the garden, where attendees took the opportunity to expand their professional network.
