AI Law, Compliance & Legal Practice

This module explores how technology is transforming information management in legal systems. It examines computational law, legal AI, and the impact of technological advances on legal services. Content covers the LegalTech landscape, computable contracts, big data law, and algorithmic fairness/accountability. The module consists of three avatar recorded sessions and two live sessions addressing these critical areas of technological innovation in law.

This module provides an overview of the main regulatory actors, jurisdictions, instruments and approaches on AI. It offers a comprehensive look at different regulatory approaches (adaptive, outcome-based, precautionary) and instruments (legal, self and co-regulation) used this technology. Through role-playing exercises, participants will impersonate policy stakeholders to better understand benefits, risks and trade-offs between these approaches and instruments. The module will consist of two avatar-led recorded sessions and two live sessions.
