THE PROGRAM

The Board Members Program combines live online and face-to-face learning delivered by distinguished IE Business School faculty members, who are experts with extensive experience, and will feature prominent guests who are active board members. These practitioners will enrich the content with their unique perspectives.

Following IE Business School’s innovative approach, the program includes real case analysis to illustrate and consolidate learning.

SESSIONS

The program covers key aspects of board operations in online sessions held on Thursdays (15:30–19:00 CET) and face-to-face sessions from Monday to Thursday (09:00–18:30).

  • Gain a 360-degree view of corporate governance principles and structures and the role of different stakeholders, from board members to executives and shareholders. You’ll develop deep knowledge of best practices for effective governance while exploring essential areas like risk management, accountability and transparency. You’ll explore how different compensation strategies influence board effectiveness, decision-making and corporate performance, understanding compensation’s crucial role in fostering responsibility and ethics. You’ll also gain the knowledge needed to design and implement transparent compensation policies that align with your organization’s objectives and the various stakeholders’ expectations.

  • Dive into the legal frameworks and accountability principles that boards must follow, analyzing fiduciary duties, compliance obligations and relevant regulations in depth.
