Cybersecurity risks are an ever-present threat to business operations, consumer trust, and corporate reputations worldwide. As cyber threats become more sophisticated—amplified by the rise of AI-driven attacks—organizations must be prepared to respond swiftly and effectively. Evolving regulatory expectations further emphasize the need for a strategic and well-coordinated cyber incident response. In today’s digital world, cyber preparedness is no longer optional—it is essential.
Designed for legal, privacy, governance and compliance professionals, this course provides a practical, hands-on approach to navigating cyber incidents, offering the tools, strategies, and insights needed to manage high-stakes crises effectively. Through a real-world tabletop exercise, participants will walk through the full life cycle of a cyberattack, from initial detection and containment to regulatory reporting, crisis communication, stakeholder management, and post-incident analysis.
Participants will examine real case studies, engage in expert-led discussions, and develop strategies for responding under pressure, all while addressing critical aspects such as managing internal and external stakeholders, mitigating reputational impact, and navigating regulatory requirements. This program also takes a global perspective, helping attendees grasp the nuances of different markets and how varying regulatory landscapes shape incident response management. The program will also analyze the potential human rights implications of a breach.
The course is structured across four key modules, each covering a distinct phase of incident management: understanding cyber risks, responding in the first 72 hours, managing ongoing threats, and conducting postmortem evaluations to strengthen future preparedness. Taught by industry leaders in cybersecurity, privacy, data protection, and compliance, this course delivers actionable strategies to help organizations mitigate exposure, respond effectively, as well as protect their reputation and relationships with key stakeholders.
