Academic Directors of IE'S Sustainable finance and ESG Program

With extensive financial experience in investment management, Nieves has been actively involved in ESG matters across several organizations throughout her career. With placements in Sustainable Investment Committees in asset management firms, she has honed her proficiency in developing sustainable investment strategies and making ESG-informed decisions, including withina Venture Climate Tech fund. Nieves is endorsed by specialized certifications, including the CFA in Climate Investing (CFA CCI) and CFA ESG Investing. Furthermore, she holds credentials such as the Investment Management Certificate (IMC, CFA UK) and accreditation as a Certified Executive Coach by IE University, underscoring her commitment to professional excellence and continuous development. She earned her BA in Business Administration from Carlos III University.

Professor Braulio Pareja has combined his experience in the private sector and academia. He is currently the Head of Academic Research at Impact Bridge Asset Management and holds teaching positions at various universities at different fields as Social Entrepreneurship, Ethics and Corporate Governance, and Sustainability. With a background in History and International Development Cooperation, Braulio obtained his Ph.D. in Economics and Business from Universidad Pontificia Comillas-ICADE. Braulio has authored several research papers published in prestigious academic journals (as for instance, Journal of Social Entrepreneurship or Journal of Management for Global Sustainability) and contributes to research chairs that focus on Social Entrepreneurship and Impact Investing. He is member of the Spanish Association of Sustainability Executives (DIRSE).
