The United Nations and IE University renew their collaboration to advance innovative solutions for sustainable development
The United Nations (UN) and IE University have renewed their agreement to join forces and leverage new innovative solutions for the acceleration of the Sustainable Development Goals.
Guided by their shared commitment outlined in the original Memorandum of Understanding, signed in March 2021, the United Nations and IE University have co-developed multiple endeavours, spanning from innovative educational programs and specialised training initiatives to practical research projects and multistakeholder partnerships. Currently, over 1,400 students are enrolled in bachelor’s and master’s degrees co-developed with the United Nations at IE University, which also hosts the largest Model UN in Europe. Moreover, IE has implemented numerous joint projects and is collaborating with over 25 UN entities, including the United Nations System Staff College.

The new agreement, signed last Friday, expands the ambition of the collaboration to include new strategic frameworks, such as Our Common Agenda and the Pact of the Future, as well as several forthcoming events, such as the 4th International Conference for Financing for Development and the 2nd World Summit for Social Development.
