IE University hosts the UNFPA Brand Ambassadors Program 2024
The third edition of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) Brand Ambassador Programme commenced on Monday July 15th at the IE Tower, IE University’s vertical, sustainable and technological campus in Madrid, welcoming UNFPA country representatives from around the world to embark on a journey of learning and collaboration.
Developed jointly by UNFPA, the United Nations System Staff College (UNSSC), and IE University, the program underscores the commitment of educational institutions to supporting the United Nations’ 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda.
The goal of this program is to equip UNFPA’s country representatives with tools and knowledge to strengthen advocacy around sexual and reproductive health and rights, including ending preventable maternal deaths and gender-based violence, and meeting needs for modern methods of family planning around the world.
Over the course of three days, the programme provides an exceptional training environment tailored to UNFPA’s strategic needs, together with the development of a trustworthy community of practice. Sessions range from strategic alliance-building to applying foresights planning, cultural awareness, persuasion techniques, and effective storytelling.
The training was concluded with a keynote speech by Susana Malcorra, former UN Chief of Staff to the Secretary General, and enriched by a cultural event at the Prado Museum. “We are building a future where every voice has the power to create positive change,” said Manuel Muñiz, Provost of IE University, expressing gratitude to participants and organizers for their commitment to the program.
