Discover more about the UNFPA Brand Ambassador Program
October 14, 2024This program underscores the commitment of educational institutions to supporting the United Nations’ 2023 Sustainable Development Agenda. The goal of this program is to equip UNFPA’s country representatives with tools and knowledge to strengthen advocacy around sexual and reproductive health and rights, including ending preventable maternal deaths and gender-based violence, and meeting needs for modern methods of family planning around the world. Over the course of three days, the programme provides an exceptional training environment tailored to UNFPA’s strategic needs, together with the development of a trustworthy community of practice. Sessions range from strategic alliance-building to applying foresight planning, cultural awareness, persuasion techniques, and effective storytelling.

Protecting Children Against Violence Through Online Participation: Partners meeting
November 11, 2023Children and young people are increasingly turning to the online world when at risk of any form of violence, online or offline. They access helplines, hotlines, counseling services, and violence reporting systems, and they also use digital platforms to create solutions for the protection needs of their peers. Being aware of this reality the UN Office of the Special Representative on Violence Against Children together with ITU is leading PoP initiative gathering the different perspectives on the topic from the private sector, UN agencies, Civil society organizations, Child helplines, Academia, Children and young people and Policymakers.

UN Workplace Mental Health & Well-Being Strategy

United Nations Partnership
In March 2021, the Deputy Secretary-General of the United Nations and the President of IE University signed an agreement to jointly promote the co-development and use of new innovative and technological solutions for the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
This collaboration between the UN and IE responds to the call for innovative multi-stakeholder partnerships for the 2030 Agenda. It is not framed as a service provision contract but rather as a genuine partnership to co-assess, co-design and co-implement a series of initiatives that not only have a direct impact on society but also help further develop in-house capacities within the UN System.
The Technical Secretariat of the partnership was assigned to the Executive Office of the Secretary-General and to the United Nations System Staff College. IE has also signed complementary agreements to collaborate on specific initiatives that count on the participation of practitioners from over 20 different UN bodies.

- The development of new technological applications and services for social innovation.
- The creation of learning platforms and knowledge products.
- The provision of services of executive training and applied advice.
- The promotion of social entrepreneurship.
- The promotion of collaborations and alliances for the transfer and application of knowledge and technologies for sustainable development.
