IE University and Caleido Fashion Lab present Creative Capsule, an exhibition of design, art, fashion and architecture

A modern exhibition display featuring two models and various colorful abstract shapes hanging in a well-lit glass showcase, labeled 'DISCOVER BIOMATERIALS'.

IE School of Architecture and Design’s students and professors showcase their creativity at Caleido.

IE University and Caleido Fashion Lab launch Creative Capsule, a project that will showcase the talent and creativity of IE School of Architecture and Design’s students and professors in design, art, fashion and architecture at Caleido’s premises, next to IE Tower, IE University's campus in the north of Madrid.

As well as loaning IE University the Creative Capsule space to organize temporary exhibitions, Caleido Fashion Lab will provide funding and support staff to produce examples of IE teachers and students’ work that address social issues from a creative perspective.

“Here, in our capsule, we will organize artistic installations periodically to showcase the work of our students and professors, who come from all over the world.”
Laura López Paniagua, curator of the project and Associate Director of Exhibitions, Publications and Events at IE School of Architecture and Design

The installation currently on display features designs using biomaterials. Normally, the space would feature objects made with plastic, but in this case, they come from reusable, compostable and biodegradable materials, reflecting the goal of showcasing viable and environmentally friendly alternatives in design and manufacturing.

Designed by Lorena Delgado Piña, coordinator of IE University’s Fab Lab, the installation features work by its director, Elena Cardiel, along with creations by students of the advanced Growing and Fabricating Biomaterials seminar.
