POLI.design and IE School of Architecture and Design renew collaboration for 2025 Summer School in Milan

Following the success of the inaugural Milan Design Immersion Summer Course in 2024, IE School of Architecture and Design and POLI.design have launched the program's second edition. Running from June 16 to June 27, 2025, this Summer School, led by Professor Giovanna Piccino, offers IE School of Architecture and Design students the opportunity to engage with Milan’s world-renowned design ecosystem.

Open to eligible Bachelor's students across all programs - BAS, BBABID, BID, BIFD, and BBABIFD- the 10 day-course combines masterclasses, workshops, field trips, and cultural activities for an immersive experience. Students will gain insights into the latest trends and practices in architecture and design through the expertise of POLI.design faculty and industry leaders.

POLI.design and IE School of Architecture and Design renew collaboration for 2025 Summer School in Milan

Participants will attend expert-led sessions featuring esteemed architects, designers, and artists who will explore the intersection of architecture, design, and art, with a focus on innovation, sustainability, and interdisciplinary approaches. Key topics will include future-oriented design, sustainable practices, narrative design and concept visualization, multidisciplinary integration, contemporary craftsmanship, and material innovation, among others.

Students will also participate in interdisciplinary workshops focused on innovation and critical design analysis, and they will take part at guided cultural visits to Milan’s iconic design landmarks, districts and institutions such as Fondazione Prada, Triennale di Milano, Achille Castiglioni's studio, among others. To complete their learning experience, students will deliver a a final project with peer and faculty reviews, culminating in a POLI.design certificate of attendance.

POLI.design, founded by Politecnico di Milano in 1999, is a design and innovation consortium established by Politecnico di Milano, focusing on professional training, research, and development in design. It offers specialized programs aimed at producing interdisciplinary knowledge and enhancing the skills of professionals in fields such as industrial design, architecture, and communication. Through collaborations with industry partners and academic institutions, POLI.design bridges the gap between education and real-world applications, providing a platform for students and professionals to engage with state-of-the-art projects.
