Students engage in an international and diverse environment alongside inspiring practitioners. They become leading professionals, holding positions such as interior designer, senior design consultant or founder of their own design firm.

When you graduate from our (MDes) Master in Interior Design, you’ll be prepared for a diverse array of roles in both established and emerging fields. Interior designers are essential in well-known and established sectors such as retail, hospitality, education, cultural institutions and the public sector, where they create functional and captivating spaces. However, the world of interiors is no longer reliant exclusively on the physical realm. This program will prepare you for roles in a range of fields that move beyond traditional industry sectors, and will place graduates in newly created positions that are only beginning to emerge today, including virtual interiors, stage design and more.

These emerging fields are opening new opportunities for interior designers specializing in digital and virtual space planning. In retail, for example, interior designers play a pivotal role in designing immersive environments that enhance customer experiences and drive sales. You’ll also have the flexibility to start your own ventures, work as consultants, or take on managerial roles, leveraging your expertise in interior design.

Partnerships and Collaborations

At IE School of Architecture and Design, we have been offering programs in Interior Design for many years. With a tradition of providing innovative training in architecture and interior design, we launched our first undergraduate architecture degree in 2008, and our interior design master’s in 2012.

Over time, we've established collaborations, agreements and partnerships, and built an extensive network within this sector. We are fortunate to have worked with companies such as:
