It creates value for users by understanding and improving their experiences at various stages of a service, and for service providers by optimizing their back-end operations. In this course, you will learn the theory and basic methods of service design while applying them to a specific challenge. This will give you both an overview of what service design is and how it can be applied in a real-world context. Several methodologies (e.g. design thinking) will be introduced as key tools to rapidly design and launch new digital services. Your learning objectives in this course are to:

          • Understand the concept of a digital service and its taxonomy.
          • Design service management tools and systems (the service portfolio and service catalog).
          • Provide methodologies for service process, operations and continuous improvement.
          • Design metrics and measurement methods for performance analysis and better decision-making.

In addition, we will evaluate the new role that technology, algorithms and analytics play in the overall management of a business or company. We will teach you how to build a data strategy within your own company and how to use it as a powerful tool to change decision-making techniques. We will also learn how to use past and present data to gain insights into the overall performance of your business and the behavioral patterns of your customers. Our objective is to understand how to anticipate and proactively engage with customers to create the "wow" effect.
