Dedicated to positive global impact and meaningful transformation

Bilqis Majalia Adam is passionate about both individual and societal transformation. After obtaining a bachelor’s degree in human resources management and psychology, she began her career at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration in her home country of Ghana. The experience had her working closely with diplomats from various countries and ignited her curiosity about international relations, diplomacy and global development. Further, it inspired her desire to make a positive contribution to the complex landscape of global affairs.

More importantly, however, she plans to put her passions to good use. In addition to her continuing interest in human resources consulting, which she sees as a means to empower people and spearhead broader community development, Bilqis has aspirations to become a diplomat. She’s keen to combine her love for international relations and development with a dedication to positive global impact to build a fulfilling career. Her long-term goal is to transition into the political arena to champion causes that help her local community. Using each phase of her career journey as “a stepping stone towards meaningful transformation,” as she puts it, advocating for positive change—particularly in her home country—is what truly motivates her.

For Bilqis, the decision to pursue the Master in International Development at IE University came at the perfect time in her life. She chose the program because it offered specialized knowledge, practical skills and a global perspective—all of which she knew would enhance her career prospects and put her one step closer to accomplishing her goals.
